I really only needed one of the plays, but I love Pearl Cleage so I bought this collection. The book arrived on time and it great condition. Cleage is an amazing, thought-provoking playwright. What an engaging storyteller. If you are looking for stories on race that will make you gasp, cry, and smile within the same story -this is the book.

About the Author
Barbara Aehlert is the President of Southwest EMS Education, Inc. in Phoenix, Arizona and Pursley, Texas. She has been a registered nurse for more than 30 years with clinical experience in medical/surgical and critical care nursing and, for the past 18 years, in prehospital education. Barbara is an active CPR, First Aid, ACLS, and PALS instructor and takes a special interest in teaching basic dysrhythmia recognition to nurses and paramedics. She is a consultant with the Southwest Ambulance paramedic program in Mesa, Arizona, and an active member of the Pursley, Texas, Volunteer Fire Department.

Text Book Required - Great Learning

I am only half-way through the class. Everything is in here for EKG Certification. What more can be said, it wasn't a choice, it's a required text book. The class is great and the instructor is a wealth of knowledge. I cannot wait to begin my new career.

Excellent book. Content well organized with many practical application problems. I particularly liked loose leaf version because it was less costly and I was able to take a section of the manual out for transport during a trip making for a much lighter load. Note that corresponding solutions manual (sold separately used or new - highly recommend) only shows solutions to odd numbered problems, however, problem types are duplicated so this did not pose an issue. Not sure of updates available in newer edition, but it's pricey. Since the principles/concepts covered in this book really don't change, my class only required the older edition which covered the material nicely.

Old Editions are a great buy

My professor allowed our class to use this later edition. Honestly, even with this older edition not much was changed other than maybe a few problems being out of order, but still the same problems from the newer edition. Once I told everyone it only cost me 0.16c + shipping and handling, they were all floored. This book was a great buy and I even got a MyMathLab Code with it! Great deal!

Very well written and organized text book that is a great way to summarize the mathematics required for predictive analytics. When coupled with MyMathLab (the new book comes with a code that provides access to the online instruction - which can be purchased separately if you buy a used boos), and the solutions book, you will have a great learning/review aid for data sciences.

This book deals with the physical justification of the mathematical framework involved in the modern and highly sophisticated theories of the structure of the universe.
The book seems to have been written for working physicists and mathematicians, and maybe for graduate students, but I think most of the material of the first 5 chapters could find a place in undergraduate curricula.
There are some other regarded texts treating this same subjects, but this one attempts to ensure that the mathematical description mirrors the physical concepts involved, so this approach also leads to a careful treatment of the structural aspects of mathematics.
The contents are: Local Theory of Space and Time; Analysis on Manifolds; Space and Time from a Global Point of View; Pseudo-Riemannian Manifolds; General Relativity; Robertson-Walker Cosmology; Spherical Symmetry; Causality; Singularity Theorems.
Includes an extensive list of references and a system of guidelines to read the book, because the author states that it is not meant to be read in the same order as it is written.
Very useful as a reference.

Very good book

Unlike most other books on general relativity, this one treats Einstein's theory from an actual differential geometric perspective. This means that it is written like a mathematics text book and the author sticks to coordinate independent expressions where possible. Hence there are less messy and lengthy local expressions and, as I see it, it is much clearer what is actually done.
The book is most suited for mathematical physicists and theoretical physicists who wish to actually understand the mathematics and the principles involved.

Typing errors

I have been reading the 1999 editions and I hoped that new editions have shown up. This book is very concise and clear. However, typing errors occur in ALMOST EVERY PAGE!! When it comes to something that I really do not understand, I have to place brute force in order to figure out if it is typing error or not.
