About the Author
Jeff Parks is a former navy nuclear submarine officer who has worked as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt for the past 16 yrs. Both as a consultant and full time employee, he has worked on over 350 process improvement projects totaling over $70M in annualized savings in that time. A very experienced trainer, he has trained over 700 people as either Yellow Belts, Green Belts, Black Belts, Master Black Belts, Champions and Executive level in 7 different countries. With experience in 15 different companies and industries as diverse as: appliance manufacturing, home mortgaging, precision scales, medical billing, aerospace, defense, tire production, gum making, Tier 1 auto supplier, telecommunications, and air filters-he has seen the DMAIC problem solving implemented in many different ways He is originally from rural Eastern Kentucky with a BS degree in Physics and Mathematics from Eastern KY University and currently lives with his wife and 7 children in Louisville, KY

Good introduction to six sigma

Nice quick read. Jeff is an excellent teacher and does a really nice job on this example of showing what six sigma is and an overview of how to use it to solve problems. This book is a very good source to use if a person wants to have a better understanding of exactly what a six sigma program can do for them and some of the processes used.
Also, if there is any desire to seek a certification, there is no better instructor than Jeff Parks. He mixes lecture with real examples and laboratory experiments for each section. Our Black Belt program was a very successful corporate initiative and could not have even gotten off the ground without Jeff's hard work and understanding.
As for the Bengals....meh. I think they got a decent young TE in Gresham, but not sure that the Law Firm will ever catch many passes out of the backfield.
